Mathematics Coordinator (Thailand, Bangkok)
Role Overview
The Mathematics Coordinator will lead the development and delivery of a high-quality mathematics programme across the school, ensuring consistency, progression, and excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will have strong curriculum knowledge, experience with Singapore Maths approaches, and the ability to coach, train, and inspire teachers to deliver engaging and effective mathematics lessons.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the school’s mathematics curriculum in line with school expectations and international best practice.
Support the implementation of Singapore Math approaches across year levels.
Provide professional development, coaching, and mentoring for teachers in mathematics pedagogy and curriculum delivery.
Work collaboratively with leadership teams to monitor standards, progress, and attainment in mathematics.
Ensure consistency in planning, assessment, and teaching approaches across the school.
Model outstanding mathematics teaching and support staff through demonstrations, team teaching, and learning walks.
Analyse assessment data to identify strengths, gaps, and next steps for improvement.
Develop engaging and inquiry-based mathematics experiences that promote problem solving, reasoning, and critical thinking.
Support the integration of manipulatives, practical resources, and real-life applications into mathematics teaching.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding mathematics programmes and student progress.
Stay up to date with current developments in mathematics education and curriculum innovation.
Be responsible for the procurement of resources to supplement and support the teaching of Singapore Math.
Person Specification
Qualified teacher with recognised teaching qualifications.
Proven experience in leading or coordinating mathematics within a primary or international school setting.
Strong understanding of Singapore Math methodologies and approaches.
Excellent curriculum knowledge and understanding of progression in mathematics learning.
Experience in staff training, coaching, and professional development.
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire teachers and students through positive leadership and collaboration.
Commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
Desirable
Experience in international schools.
Experience with inquiry-based and student-centred learning approaches.
Knowledge of assessment systems and data analysis.
